TRCE prepared the construction documents for the erosion control and rehabilitation of Bridge No. 1096 in San Germán, Puerto Rico. The construction documents included environmental evaluations; a Documented Categorical Exclusion (FHWA- and NEPA-compliant); hydrologic, hydraulic, and scour analyses; a general structural bridge assessment; design drawings; technical specifications; and required permits and agency consultations.
Bridge No. 1096 is a thirteen (13) span reinforced concrete cast-in-place structure constructed in 1969. The project incorporated countermeasures to prevent lateral river migration and erosion caused by floodplain constriction at the bridge.
